One of my favorite places to write is in my own backyard. I am constantly inspired by the colors, smells and sounds of nature. Now that spring has sprung, there are so many new wonders to behold! While frolicking in my garden, I snapped photos of various flowers with a little fairy spirit. I've added quotes for further inspiration and fun. Enjoy! :) |
If you see the magic in a fairy tale, you can face the future. ~Danielle Steele |
Buttercups in the sunshine look like little cups of gold. Perhaps the faeries come to drink the raindrops that they hold. ~Elizabeth Dillingham - "A Faery Song" |
I'll seek a four-leaved shamrock in all thy fairy dells, and if I find the charmed leaves, oh, how I'll weave my spells! ~Samuel Lover |
The woods are full of fairies! The trees are alive. The river overflows with them. See how they dip and dive! What funny little fellows! What dainty little dears! They dance and leap, and prance and peep, and utter fairy cheers! ~Unknown |
Garden fairies come at dawn, bless the flowers, then they're gone ~Unknown |
Each fairy breath of summer, as it blows with loveliness, inspires the blushing rose. ~Unknown |
Life itself is the most wonderful fairy tale. ~Hans Christian Anderson ~Melissa Kline |
Love all the pictures. I love this time of year.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Natalie! I'm glad you liked my photos. Spring is the best time of year! :)
DeleteMakes me think of Laura Ingalls Wilder's fairy poems...
ReplyDeleteA question for Team Swagger: have y'all considered putting the author of the post's name in a byline at the top of the post? I would love to know which of you is writing from the get-go!
Hi Irene! I have actually thought about it. It's a valid point; I guess my thought process initially was that it would be fun to read through not knowing, but maybe able to guess who wrote it. However, as time goes on and some Swaggers seem to have developed a rapport with certain bloggers, you may be right. Being able to see from the get go who wrote it might mean the difference between it being read...or not.
DeleteThanks for the suggestion. Swaggers, what do you think?
Great suggestion, Irene! Thank you!
DeleteSounds like a fine idea, Irene. So glad you stopped by today.
DeleteI think it's a great suggestion, Irene. And I love the pics, Melissa. Just got back from the Redwoods and you wouldn't believe all the faeries we saw :)
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteNice post Melissa, I've got an idea for you... how about your follow up post being a Fairy Recipe Page?
ReplyDeleteStop IT!----wow, such wicked thoughts from y'all.
I meant recipes that Faeries Make, not recipe's mad from Faeries...
