Dream Destination Blog-Hop

Lexa and Julie are celebrating the launch of their books Soul Cutter and The Ghosts of Aquinnah with this blog-hop
and 19 prizes to give away.
by Kim Van Sickler

Ever since I was a little girl I've dreamt of one particular destination over all others. Throughout the years it's been that prize that I was going to treat myself to when the time was right. I've always shied away from doing it before because I was waiting to grow up and celebrate something monumental.

Then I grew up, but as far as I could see, I hadn't done anything incredible enough to earn the dream vacation.

And then a couple of weeks ago, my husband and I decided it was finally time to do it. We've travelled to some pretty amazing places already, but why were we putting off my dream vacation any longer?

I mean, really! Wasn't it possible that if we wait much longer we'll never get there?

Spring 2015. That's when we plan to go. The only scary part is coordinating our trip with Mother Nature.

You see my dream trip is to bike along the canals and throughout the city and countryside of Amsterdam while the tulips are in bloom.

Pretty amazing, huh?

Where is your dream destination? Have you been there yet? If not, what are you waiting for?

If you haven't already, hop on over to Lexa's blog and Julie's blog for their generous prize giveaways!

  2. YOur dream destination makes me want to go there too! I think I'll have to nudge my bike-loving husband in that direction. Right now I'm dreaming/beginning to plan a trip to Italy. You're right. If not now, when?

  8. First, I LOVE the name of your blog! Swagger makes me want to get on my feet and start walking around like I own most of the galaxy *hehehe*

I found myself trying to stick my head through the screen just to stroll down the streets of Amsterdam again. I've been there for work, but never for pleasure *sigh*

I will go again! And take yummy pictures. Right after I go to Alaska ;-D

  14. I LOVE AMSTERDAM!
I had to do a report on the Netherlands in the 6th grade and have been in love with the country ever since. I got to go to Amsterdam in 2011 and it was beautiful. The people are all warm and friendly. The buildings are beautiful.

  27. What lovely photos! I spent a few days in Amsterdam many years ago, but it was in October, long after the tulip season. We still loved the beautiful city, the wonderful food, and had a very touching experience seeing the house where Anne Frank hid during the war. Hopefully, your timing will be right, and you will bike through the vibrant tulips.

  33. You will LOVE the Netherlands! I lived there for a semester in college, and it's an amazing place... especially if you go in spring and can see the tulips :) I never understood the hype about them until I drove through the countryside, past field after field of flowers, each one as if some great hand had reached down and painted strips of the most brilliant color across the grass. And the cities and the people are wonderful. ENJOY!
